Flip 1 (07/01/2020):
Introduction of Manuel Lima's Nine Directive Manifesto

At the first class of information design, Mr Kannan briefing about our module outline and the nine directive manifesto which include :

1. Form follows function
2. Interactivity is key
3. Cite your sources
4. The power of narrative
5. Do not glorify aesthetics
6. Look for relevancy
7. Embrace time
8. Aspire for knowledge
9. Avoid gratuitious visualization

We need to form a 4 -person group and make an presentation based on these information. I group with Atiqah, Dondo, Adeel and Farissa. Below is our presentation.



Flip 2 (14/01/2020):
Introduction of Saul Wurman's L.A.T.C.H application

This week Ms Anis gonna brief us about the application of L.A.T.C.H. By the information she gave, I know that there are five point such as:

1. Location
2. Alphabet
3. Time
4. Category
5. Hierarchy

Same as last week, we need to figure out the function and importance of these five things in infographic and make presentation based on our searching. Below is our presentation.




Flip 3 (21/1/2020):
Miller's Law (Chunking)



This week Ms Anis briefed about Miller's Law which is chunking. She showed some examples to let  us know the meaning of chunking. Also, we need to create a presentation that include our understanding in chunking. Because of the Chinese New Years, I went back to my hometown. Without presentation, I only can focus on the slides.



Flip 4&5 (18/02/2020):
Different types of infographics



For flip 4&5, we need to create a presentation based on Ms Anis's instruction such as:

Flip 4: Find out different types of infographics, talk about the kind of information they're applicable
for and give an example for each infographic.

Flip 5A: Each person need to re-design an example using one of the online tool.

Flip 5B: Compare the before and after example, give a review about the online tool base on it's difficulty, usefulness and choices.
